The cup belongs to France

Germany lost to Italy. Which, of course, left me quite devastated. Enough to rant almost incoherently for about 30 minutes to Ling at 5:30am this morning. Enough to make me lose my cool and yell at two taxi drivers, which was very wrong of me.

Tonight France plays Portugal. The Cup belongs to France now. Tonight I will see France walk all over Portugal and Monday morning I will see them destroy Italy.

If by some freak chance France actually loses to Portugal, I think I will stop watching the WC.

Indeed alot of people and expressed dissappointment with this year's WC. I had been, so far up till this morning, quite unaffected by it. But now, after this morning's fiasco, I believe that I am in perfect position to sympatize with those people.

Anyway, I leave you with these words of wisdom:

Into the semi-finals now, with Germany against Italy and Portugal against France. I'm fully expecting Germany and France to meet in the finals...
