Drips

It's taken me a long while, but I've finally noticed that something's funny with my blog. Yeah, the images aren't loading no more. But that's ok, I was getting bored of it anyway.

I plan to change the layout anyway. To something simple. Very simple. It's a reflection of my current mindset. Go figure.

And yes, I might even come round to actually changing the layout eventually....

Anyway, for the first time in my life I was put on a drip. Happened this week when I came down with a 39.1 degree fever. Reported sick and the MO, without my knowledge, behind my back cheerfully instructed that I be given an IV drip.

When I found out I raised -near- bloody hell. To no avail. But at least they got their most experienced guy to come jab the thing into my vein so it was successful on the first attempt with no actual fuss.

The poor fuck beside me got poked 4 times before they finally got it right.

I shudder at the recollection of his distress.

And yes, I didn't enjoy the drip one bit. But on the plus side, I'm ok now and in need of a couple pints.

Happy new year...
...14 days too late but I figure it's still ok.

And here's reminding myself that I spent new year's eve in camp on guard duty.

The weather's been bloody awful lately. God willing, it gets better next week.

I'm turning 23 soon...

And I have a cold right now. Bloody hell.
