Going in ~!

NS and birthdays...

I'm going in to the military tomorrow. Well actually a few hours later since it's already well past 12am. To become a soldier. To become a man. Whatever.

It's wierd, like you keep hearing them saying rubbish like, "after you go through NS you're gonna be a MAN" and I'm like what about other countries that don't have compulsory militrary enlistment? Ya telling me that guys from like England or France or Japan aren't MEN?

Or what about women? Since they don't do NS, what marks their transition from 'girl' to 'woman'?

Anyway, just gonna go there with no expectations and gonna try to enjoy myself and the experience. If nothing else, it's gonna make a good art project when I get out yo.

But more importantly...

I forgot Ling's birthday last Sunday.

I know that I was preoccupied with my coming enlistment and shit but, I forgot her birthday. She's my best friend, and somehow, personally I feel that 'I'm sorry I was thinking about NS' dosen't really cut it. I know she understands and I'm sure she ain't pissed, but I feel like the scum of the earth.

She's my best friend y'know, my soulmate. Deeper then any girlfriend or lover or what not. Next to God and my family, she's it.

Ling, Happy Belated Birthay. I'm so fuckin sorry I forgot.

I'll make it up to ya yo.
